Abiding in God’s word
♪Accepting God’s authority
♪Assimilating its truth
♪Applying its principles.

Go to the bible for wise counsel, in our decision making, and make it the benchmark for our evaluation! The bible must always have the first and last word in our lives. : )

God’s word is all that we need. It never leads us in the wrong direction. Be determined to ask ‘ What does the bible say?’ when we’re making decisions.

Be receptive to the word, and receive it with a correct attitude, and open heart! Daily bible reading will keep us in range with God’s voice. Meditate on the scriptures and take time to reflect on the example of Christ and God’s truth.

Lastly, apply what we’ve learnt. Sometimes personal application is avoided as it can be difficult or even painful. God’s word exposes us motives, points out our faults, rebukes our sins and expects us to change. It’s human nature to resist change, that is why applying God’s word is such hard work. Thus it is very important to discuss your personal applications with your spiritual family and enable them to keep watch over you.

QUESTION:
What has God already told me in his word that I haven’t started doing yet?
